Habitat enhancement using machines and controlled burns: In absence of natural fires that create moose food, healthy forestry practices must be implemented aggressively around communities and along road and rail corridors which will change our moose’s wintering habits. Currently, moose find much of their necessary wintering browse within our cities and along our roads and tracks.
